The Autumn meeting was held at Buckingham Golf Club on 11th October 2020. This is the last competition of the year and was well attended. The weather remained dry albeit it was very cold.

The club staff and members at Buckingham all looked after us really well during the day and we are very grateful to them for letting us hold this competition at their course. Thank you to Gail for starting the girls off.

2nd: - Jenna Campbell- Byrne 35 points
3rd:- Claudia Weston 34 points
4th:- Olivia Lee 33 points

We would usually award the order of merit trophies this time of year but sadly with only a couple of competitions being run this year it has not been possible to run this.

Goodbyes and thank you's and welcome to new officers

Ordinarily, we would have been able to have a presentation at the end of the competition and to have introduced the captain for next year and say our thank you’s to the officers who will be leaving their roles this year.

We say goodbye to Daisy Kennedy, Hannah Cash and Freya Conway who leave the junior section after many years of playing in the teams and supporting the competitions. We wish them well.

We say goodbye and thank you to Gail Sharp, the current BCLGA County Captain. Gail has supported the juniors really well over the past three years and we wish her all the very best for the future.

We must also say thank you and “see you later” to Janet Beal. Janet has worked tirelessly for the junior section for the last seven years, first as the Junior Competitions Secretary and then as the County Junior Organiser.

Janet is taking over as County Captain at the end of the month and therefore we will still be seeing her.

Delyth is taking over as County Junior Organiser and we welcome Wendy Egan as the new Junior Competitions Secretary and wish her well in her new role.

We are in the process of forming the new junior committee and will announce the full team after the county AGM.

And finally…. We are delighted to announce that both Ciara Egan and Amelia Curtis have agreed to act as joint BCLGA Junior Captains for 2021 and we wish them all the very best and look forward to seeing them next year.
