Winter Greensomes 2022/23

The Final of the 2022/23 Winter Greensomes KO Competition was played at Harewood Downs GC on 12 April 2023. It was always forecast to be a windy day but the weather literally threw everything at us - strong wind, heavy rain, hail ... making it very challenging for all the competitors.
The finalists were Janette Psyllides & Tracy Fowler from Gerrards Cross GC and Pam Tierney & Claire Geneen from Lambourne GC. Rosemary De Lacey from Burnham Beeches GC was the referee for the match.
The competitors were welcomed to a blustery Harewood Downs by the BCLGA County President Lynda Hilton. The match was a closely fought contest throughout with Pam & Claire taking an early lead but Janette & Tracy keeping in touch and for most of the match there was no more than one or two holes in it. In the end Pam & Claire were the winners 3&2.
After shedding our waterproofs and drying off, we all enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and a selection of cakes. The prizes and the Cup were then presented by Lynda Hilton.
