Challenge Cup - 2022

The Challenge Cup KO Final was played at Burnham Beeches GC on 19 October 2022. The finalists were Bryony Moore from Harleyford GC and Sara O'Kelly from Oakland Park GC. The match was refereed by the County Captain, Janet Beal and Bryony was giving Sara 9 shots.

Both players got off to a slightly nervous start, not helped by a blustery wind and the first few holes were tightly contested. Then Bryony found her rhythm and pulled ahead giving herself a comfortable lead at the turn. Sara then fought back and a number of holes were halved before Bryony emerged victorious. The game was played in good spirit and it didn't rain which was a bonus.

Players, officials and caddies then sat down to a lovely tea of sandwiches and cake; prizes and the trophies were then presented by the BCLGA County President Lynda Hilton.

Thanks go to the staff of Burnham Beeches GC for hosting the Competition and their generous hospitality.
